From the first moment Karin McBride-Chenoweth picked up a pen, she wanted her words to matter. Encouraged when she was only 8 yrs by her school teacher at the time who said,
"...continue to write Karin because some day your words will mean something."
Those words stuck with the youngster, who was born and raised in war-torn Northern Ireland. Indeed she continued to write on-and-off through the years - poetry and short stories. Therefore, Karin writes from the heart. Everything that she expresses through the written word, is an illustration of her ability to bring a scene, picture or situation to life.
For many years - the wilderness years - as she calls it, in her twenties, Karin's ability to write seemed to dry-up. However, in 1993 she was miraculously saved and gave her life to Christ Jesus. Following her salvation, her ability to write returned but in an even greater way. Within a year she had four poems published, one called 'Demons' reaching the top ten of an international poetry contest. The following year she was awarded the Cartier Pen Award by top N.I. Magazine, Northern Woman.
In her capacity as a PR Consultant to some of Britain's top athletic stars (1994-2010), she had numerous features, articles and press releases published locally, nationally and internationally within the written and broadcast media.
In 2001 she was nominated for the prestigious national WOYLA Woman of the Year Award, London UK. The same year she founded the very successful Alison Abraham Poetry Awards, conducted VIP Poetry Workshops for local school children (sponsored by Ards Arts), and launched The Primary Roadshow to exhibit the children's works throughout the libraries in Northern Ireland (sponsored by the SEELB),
It was in 1996 she received a vision to establish an online Christian E-zine. In 2009 the vision was made manifest in the natural with the founding of 3-in-1 Publishing and 3-in-1 The Voice.
As well as her own books, she has been instrumental in publishing over 8 books in total.- 4 her own, 3 anthologies and one best-selling biography as a ghost-writer.
Her anointed, hallmark descriptive writing has been described by others as visionary, penetrating, revealing, enticing, evocative, picturesque, elegant, controversial and above all uncompromising. Her scribal anointing allows her to pen words to flow in a unique, creative and strategic manner. In turn this sign-posts the reader towards God and Jesus, enabling them to touch the divine.
Karin is also a licensed Property Manager and a Teacher/Trainer. She breeds Working German Shepherd Dogs and is currently studying an Adv Dip in Canine Behavior Management. She is married to her realtor husband David Chenoweth and has grown-up children. She lives and works in the United States.
